About the Studio 

Partita Music Studio offers in person and virtual music lessons across the world. Our home is in NW Calgary with locations in the Evanston and Edgemont community offering piano, violin, voice and theory & history lessons. We strive to inspire musicians of all ages to bring confidence in expressing their music making in any form. Since 2001, we have proudly inspired and mentored over 850 students in music.   

Our team has a strong commitment to understanding music teaching from different and important angles.  We have immense commitment and curiosity to professional development to further grow our skills to inspire the musical vibrancy in our students.

About Gloria Chu

For over 22 years, Gloria has been inspiring the music vibrancy of the learning community in violin, voice and piano. Recognized by Steinway & Sons with a Top Teacher award and a recipient of the 2022 Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Teacher of Distinction award, she enjoys sharing her learnings and research as the author of articles on music education. Her passion for music extends to creative arts, a few of her compositions have been accepted into Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects’ Contemporary Showcase Syllabus. Through examinations, many successful students receive distinctions and are recipients of the RCM Gold Medal Award, having achieved the highest grades in the province of Alberta, while others receive gold medals with scholarships in competitions, all with the spirit of nurturing enjoyment in music. Gloria is currently a mentor to several developing teachers and artists.  Her innovative teaching methods motivate students to develop confidence in expressing their unique voice in both music and life.
